How to get to Castagneto-Carducci

Castagneto-Carducci, and the surrounding villages of Donoratico, Marina di Castagneto-Carducci, Sasseta and Bulgari are easily reachable by all forms of transport, public, and private.

Public Transport

For those of you wishing to fly, Pisa International is the nearest airport. From Pisa Central Train Station, which is about five minutes from the Airport, one can take a direct train to Donoratico. Alternatively coming from the south one can fly to Rome and take a train to Donoratico, either way we can pick you up when you arrive and take you the short distance to your accommodation. There is also an airport in Florence; if you take this option there are also trains direct to Donouatico.

Private Transport

Coming from the North for those who prefer to drive, one takes the A12 in a southerly direction exiting at Rosignano Marittimo. Subsequently one takes the E80 motorway towards Grosseto. After about twenty five kilometers on this road, exit at Donoratico. For those coming from the South, one should take the A12 Roma-Civitavecchia road. On arrival in Civitavecchia, take the E80-SS1 motorway towards Grosseto-Livorno and exit at Donoratico.

All the main car rental companies are represented at Pisa, Rome and Florence Airports, as well as in Grosseto, Livorno and San Vinczenzo. Whether you travel by car or by rail, you will enjoy the journey, the typically Tuscan routes through the countryside are beautifully scenic.
